Athletics
Our goals for athletics are simple: improved overall health and choice in activity, leading to a richer sense of community.
线上买球平台 Montessori is the home of the Cardinals. Our athletics are a source of community building and school spirit. Participating generates excitement about being a 线上买球平台 kid and family.
Upper Elementary and Middle School students can participate in interscholastic cross-country, basketball, track, and volleyball. Other sports, like flag football, are offered as recreational skill-building experiences. Some sports, like basketball, offer 1st-3rd students a chance to join skill-building teams that may participate in the Evanston recreation league.
There is an additional fee for participation in sports and after school studios. Online registration is available a few weeks before the start of the season.
Cross Country
Co-ed, grades 4-8
Cross country is a fall interscholastic sport. The Cardinal runners practice at Elliot Park on the lakefront less than a half-mile east of the school.
Flag Football
Co-ed, Recreational, grades 4-8
Flag Football is a fall recreational sport. The Cardinal flag football team builds skills like catching, throwing, footwork, agility, while and playing 7 on 7 squad scrimmages.
Basketball
Varsity, grades 6-8
Basketball is a winter interscholastic sport. The Cardinal hoopsters practice and host games in the 线上买球平台 gym. Players of any gender who wish to play competitively against other schools are welcome to join this team that plays in a boys league.

Developmental, grades 4-5
4-5 basketball is played in the Evanston District 65 recreational league. Practices are in the 线上买球平台 gym. Games are in D65 schools. Depending on the number of players available, the school fields boys and girls teams.
Track
Varsity, grades 6-8
Track is a co-ed spring interscholastic sport. The Cardinal track team competes against teams from area public and independent schools. The Cardinal runners practice at Elliot Park on the lakefront less than a half-mile east of the school.
Volleyball
Co-ed Varsity, grades 6-8
Volleyball is a spring interscholastic sport. The Cardinal volleyball team play area co-ed teams from area independent schools and practice in the 线上买球平台 gym.
